Really, this is disgusting. going through this thread I really have alot of sympathy toward her. and I'm really disgusted with the attutudes here.
She did something stupid, no doubt. but did she:
- know the rules of plagiarism and understand what's wrong with it?
- understand that what's on the web is not automatically public domain?
- do it to make money?Lets assume it's a yes to all three, even tho it's a definite no on the last question. Is this right? Is it morally justifed that she get mailbombed, called all sorts of names, treated like a slut, have people call her, etc.? The girl made a mistake and boy is she ever paying for it. Virtual mob justice ain't prettier than the real thing.
And this thread is dripping with misogyny. No male would ever get this kind of treatment.
