btw. i had this situation several times. once i had done this voluntarily photoshoot for a theatregroup that had limited to no budget, it was sent for free to all newspapers, and i did not charge anything as long as the pic was used to promote the theatre group.
then years later a very large newspaper used the photograph to illustrate a totally different subject.
i sent the paper an invoice and got paid.
it think i charged about 70 euros or so.. which is about normal if it isn't used frontpage full-color ofcourse!!
