i just finished a piece that required a similar pattern in large format/ vector...

ended up grabbing one of these image tiles, bumping up the image quality and contrast in PS, traced in AI with LiveTrace and made my own pattern swatch.
all said and done it worked quite well. the pattern looked a little eroded because of the small OG image, but that kinda worked out in my favour.
