i'd love to know the answer to that one, myself... what of other browsers... Nutscrape, Mozilla... Opera etc...

PAY THE MONEY FOR THE FRECKLED PATENT.

I usually stand by micro$oft... but all I can conclude... THE ONLY CONCLUSION THERE IS... is that this is a non-open source/proprietary/gotta-grab-ou... sort of deal...

Is this perhaps... PERHAPS (mind you - I'm not a conspiracist by 'race'... I'm usually conservative).... but... I'm thinking that this is actually a scheme to FORCE the masses off of Flash, Real and Quicktime (is QT having issues too?)... hmmm... what about windows media? (i doubt it)...

... so - is it a ploy to squeeze Adobe/Macro/Real/Apple off the web... just as they... well - sort of have done (c'mon... they ARE the market... they don't just 'own' it)...

... because Vista's gonna have lots of whistles that are web-related but will only work if you have the OS...

... it's a Ploy I tell you... A PLOY... A FIRST STEP IN FREEZING THE OPEN-MARKET ... until one day... when the 8am Bell rings and the MSBC anchor announces that "'the microsoft' just opened at the sound of the Bell"...

... and from the ashes... quitely lying.... waiting...

... ready to deploy it's new super-indexing skills...

    ... was google.

    time to sleep. :)
