if you want to avoid hipsters, stay away from uptown on friday & saturday nights - it gets overrun with kids from the burbs and drunken hussies too scared to go downtown.
definitely hit up the walker art center and soovac visual art center. juxtapoz is at the soovac until the end of the month and the show is pretty kicking, even if it's not your cup o' tea.
