  ldww,
  i got IRA and SEP and invested in some index funds, international funds, mid cap growth, etc... trying to create well balanced portfolio. i maxed out the contribution this year.

  so far, they are all doing well gaining 10-20% interest with in the last year.

  picking stocks, i do a lot of research and read articles on hot picks. i sold most of my stocks and moved to mutual funds since they are easier to manage. and picking funds, i did a lot of research too.

  also, i got saving account with 3-4% interest.

  i think i need a financial advisor though...
