i find myself saying "my life is so trickeeeee my life is so trickeeeeee" in a badly butchered asian accent inside my head at these moments. this puts the absurdity of it all into great perspective. the good thing is that you'll never be quizzed for what you missed so it doesn't matter. in fact, days later she'll tell you the same story and forget who she discussed it with in the first place.
