in comes that debate. you're also going to have the whole art vs design debate because most of the dudes doing that kind of stuff call themselves designers.
i'm trying to find examples, but maybe doing this fell off like drips, pink, overspray and crests. i remember seeing it a lot in people using crests from logos.
