They'll never win.
Spastic was deemed derogatory, so the Spastics Society renamed themselves to "Scope". So yeah, you guessed it, within a day the whole of the UK starts calling each other "Scope" everytime they spit coffee down their chins.
Oh I used to work in a pub with a real proper live-in spaz skt. He used to pull his dick out at the most inappropriate moments to wave at the punters. Never saw him lick windows though....
