First, just because there are two sides of a story it doesn't mean they're both valid, or that the opposing view has to get equal air time whenever something comes up.
Secondly, people who don't grasp the fundamentals of the scientific method or evolution theory are not in a position to criticism them or argue alternatives based on their misconceptions.
And third, every model could be wrong, so stop trying to score points. 500 years ago people were pretty sure they understood the finer workings of the world too. In 500 years our most cutting-edge and entrenched theories alike will be laughed at as childishly naive.
