Don't loose faith Tank! Sorry to hear about your situation but do you want to be with someone who loves some one else. Sounds like she is weak if she sees an ex and then crumbles. You need a lass thats strong minded, loads of fun and has eyes only for you!
Now guys there are a majority of us fems out there that don't need someone to hold there hair back when they throw-up or a cuddle when they are crying on a pissed night out. Thats what girlfriends are for - not men. hell I know when I get into a state my bf helps me out but hey vice versa for him too (and he gets well pissed on a night out!!!)
Shes out there somewhere just keep looking. ;)
