tottally relate to what you´re saying, so from my experience, whatever you might feel right now it will look like a joke in a while, some of the answers here are very true, women do see weakness in emotion, altough they are always looking for these emotions (weakness in man) gives them power but at the same time they respect you less. You can´t win. Be a bit selfish for a while, meet new people, have fun think of you and before you know you will met someone new that gives you the same satisfaction if not more than your ex...and same story all over again...such is life!
