I've spent a while thinking about this. When I was little, my mom used to bring me to those protests (I was raised Baptist). I've since become a Buddhist and what my fascist brother calls a liberal idiot. I know what they're capable of so I don't want to sink to the level of the mob. I just want to stand quietly across the street with the signs pointed directly at them so they can see the war that a majority of the religious right sponsors. That way they shouldn't have the chance to villianize me and the cops won't hassle me. Conflict will only fuel their resolve.
