France- I would suggest Nice, a nice (haha) city with thousands of things to do, from St. Tropez to the italian border. Spent the summers around there when I was younger.
But bring a french dictionary, my experiences are that they either refuse to speak the little english they know, or they don't know a friggin word. Not even at McDonalds... (If you don't say *LE* big mac, they don't understand)
As for Switzerland, I second Geneva, one of the most beautiful places I've ever been to.
