please believe me on this. apart from graphics, I daily scout people for work agencies and i'm also a portfolio instructor and a recruter for technical schools.
in a CV it's best to have a separate area explaining your community activity: include any sort group activities, social work, enthomology nut-cracking expeditions, environmental activities, fund-raising, sporting activities --- anything that tells them that you're not the stereotype of the job you're applying to. Don't mention your tastes. Just mention any off-work activity as long as it feels organized, in group, oriented for a goal.
When people are hiring they are not surprised by your technical skills. There's loads of CV with 0-10 explanations. Surprise them by your social skills, anything that refers to relationship ability. Dig out any summer camp from the past.
If you have a lot of things to include, do it in a biographical CV, like 1999 - this, 2000 - that, etc. Bring a CD with videos or any kind of samples for the interview. Or build a nice webpage with a interactive CV gathering family photos, experiences, etc.
good luck.
