I've got a 99 GLX, A4 body style. This car has ended my love of VWs (I've owned 6 in a row). My experience has been that the engines gp forever. It's everything else around them that fails.
Anyway, my mechanic said the A3 bodied Jettas are better cars than the A4 bodies.
