Actually, the truth of the matter is, with Direct Marketing, a total fuckwit can make a lot of money as a designer.
Acount reps and clients in the DM industry generally do not understand brand, let alone creative. Most commonly asked question: "Why isn't the word FREE bigger?"
This is the actual priority list for effective direct marketing:
1. Offer
2. Prospect list
3. Quality of creative
