I had a friend who did a cool thing.
He bought a ring with a light in the box that shown onto the diamond.
He and his girl went to Mexico. Walking on the beach he asked he if she wanted to play a game he and his brothers used to play and she said ok.
He had her stare at the stars for 30 sec without blinking and then told her to close her eyes and when she opened them they would seem to be right in front of her.
She closed her eyes and when she opened them he had the ring with the lighted box in front of her. Star! And then she lost it.
