I've been getting really defensive about my taste in music lately. Everybody at work has itunes sharing on, so we have a huge database of music available; but of course, nobody likes what i do. Several people were recently hired who are into all that obscure british band-of-the-moment thing (athlete, arctic monkeys etc) and they like to congratulate each other on what good tastes in music they have. And disgruntled little me always feels the need to yell "ITS NOT A FUCKING COMPETITION" They only talk to me when they have to.
