DLP is far better than LCD for video, the first difference, no dead pixels ever on a DLP, and you can tell wich one is using what technology because when you move your eyes fast to the sides (or just wave your hand pretty fast in front of the DLP beam) you will notice the color separation.

Go for DLP, a presentation unit for an office will do with around 1000 lumens, for venues get something over 3000, and they get really high, I've used 10.000 lumens for out door projections, the higher the lumens the higher the price on the bulb.

If you just want it for playing games or movies at home, check for sound levels as well, projectors now are really cheap but that also means low quality, and higher noise, you might end up having your movie experience destroyed with that.

    good luck!
