"Virgin Atlantic is launching a new TV campaign promoting its Upper Class product for business travellers.
The 50-second spot, developed by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, is set on the beaches of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina - scene of the Wright Brothers’ first conquest of flight.
The ad opens on Orville and Wilbur Wright standing alongside the world’s first plane, ‘Flyer 1’. A lone Englishman approaches them over the dunes and describes such apparently fantastical things as a chauffeur service to and from the airport, beds onboard, eating on board and sitting at a bar. He ends by pointing out they’re “going to need a bigger plane”. "
