i work in a mix environment, designers, human resources, finance blah blah...ah and develpers....and you can see the difference between designers and the rest, there is a lot more fun, confindence and emotion between my departament than there is for instances in the dark corner of developers, poor people, they can spend the whole day without saying a word...so I would say that there is a certain driven personality that make us the designer in us!
