Sorry but to me it looks like a bad site for a bad club night. I think you might have missed your target audience. And it really doesn't need to be that size. Just because it is for 1024x768 doesn't mean you have to try and fill it, especially if you have nothing good to fill it with.
I would drop the size down (font, menu, layout in general), pick some nice colours and try again.
And if you're not sure on the site design you should get us to crit your mock ups before building the entire thing.
