I live in east village with 3 friends and we are paying $4k for this apt and my room is 10 to 10. the walls are so thin that if someone walks upstairs it gets on my nerves, also some days I get up with loud salsa music. Besides from that, yeah it is so true, this is an island you are getting small spaces, I cannot complain though since my school is 10 mins of walk from here, I am thinking to move to Brooklyn next year btw, I need a bigger space at least with the same price.
