depends on what you want actually. personally i would go for the olympus because i worked with one for a while (i think it was a little better than the 5050) and i really liked that camera. you can do a lot with that camera, it's sturdy and really had a good lense. 1.8 or something. dunno if the 5050 has the same lense but with low light you still could make good photos (i think only olympus has this lense). manually you could do whatever you want. don't know if the other camera could be used totally manual (like shutter time and diafragma) but if it doesn't than i wouldn't touch it. but that all depends on what you want though.
