during the filming of the 'all because of you' video where they performed on a flatbed truck that drove through all of manhattan, over the brooklyn bridge and into brooklyn during rush hour, u2 did not have to file any paperwork or pay any fines. why? because bloomberg gave them a free pass because U2 were the only band to have the balls to play new york directly after the 9/11 attacks when every other band was cancelling.
they did the same thing in sarajevo after the war.
