well, I'll stick up for them. I used to think they were wank when all I had heard was This Love. But I downloaded the album from a friend and it's actually pretty good. They are all good musicians and they can actually funk RHCP style pretty well.
I respect them for writing catchy, well written songs that are played well. That's all I ask of a pop/rock band.
