It all depends on the agency. The smaller they are, the more versatile you need to be.
That's why you get such varying quality online, cause small agencies take the piss.
They want multi-talented staff to take care of just about everything clients through at them. Keeping profits up and overheads down.
And because there's so many 'talented' designers out there, and too few jobs, you have to get on with it.
I've just left a small place where I had to do all kinds, advertising, print, campaigns, copywriting, web design and build.
All on OS9, G4's, with dodgy software and fonts. Tight a feck.
And they're really well known too.
