The respose to this thread is about what I expected. I studied 3D design and semiotics was a strong focus of the course.
The reason I never chose to study graphics was because I thought it was too concerned with style and trends, rather than being concerned with social issues.
In 3D design, the only language you have is semiotics. When you have no written word or graphic symbols, how do you communicate with the user?
