as a straight up design i think it's nice and works. as a poster for, what looks like a film/video festival with a deadline for submission, it doesn't come across as obvious. it seems as if you have the opportunity to push it a little further and give it a hint of cinema as well as hint of motion or moving imagery...
just a thought...
