Software piracy exposes more people (especially young people - not yet at an income earning age) to big name design software that they ordinarily wouldn't be able to get their hands on before. More people learning how to use a particular tool means that there is eventually growth in the increasingly software dependent design industry. (Due to the production costs declining) The big name software firms therfore sell more software to the growing industry, and-everyone-is-happy.
