like everything its all about cost, currently the cost is too high to get a large amount of adoption to make it a viable product to play in the market with the cheap cellfones and psp, ipods and pdas etc,
Also power consumption is a major factor, that flashy screen with all them colors wont work for long at all
wireless connectivity is not really an issue, cant a device work with bluetooth to get a decent connection to the web when needed, most houses in 12 months time will have a wireless access point so very usable around the office
