nah. it is really pretty easy on a PC.
if it is just a small file you want, then you can do everything in the volume controls panel. (double click the volume icon in your startup tollbar)
once you got it open, goto File>Properties>recording
and then instead of chosing Mic, pic Line (i think that is right. it has been a while since ive done it.but anyway, once you do that, ifyou dant have any software, you can just use the PC soundrecorder (start>accessories>entertainment... or something like that) that will record all the sounds yourcomputer makes to an 8 bit wav file.
not hi-fi, but it will get the job done. you can import that into most sound editing software if you need further adjustments.
