Does anyone else think that the NoPattern / Chuck Anderson stuff relies heavily (maybe too heavily) on color?

Just went through most of his portfolio images, and I have to ask: Does anyone else notice how frequently the little bright dots/stars/paint spots type of elements are used?

I'm not criticising it by any means, just wondering if that's a big element of Chuck's work that attracts clients to it.

That design element is in the following:

    Less Than Jake images
    Men's Health images
    Sparrow Guitars images
    Supra Footwear
    Start Mobile
    SVSV
    XLR8
    Computer Arts
    NYLON
    Teen People
    WYWS
    Vapors
    Rockpile
    Earthlink
    The KDU
    Bacardi
    Absolute
    Complex

I'm not criticizing - but wondering if it's become a "Nopattern thing" or if you see that element by other designers?
I think it's interesting that it's used by several clients. You'd recognize it after a while.

Anyhow, really great work, not sure what all he has collaborated with on Electric Heat, but the stuff there rules.
