to the sound question, sorry about the hijack
i leave my itunes all the way up (100%) and put my preamp at about -1.5 to prevent distortion
then i use the volume control on my speakers to control volume from there never have distortion and I feel (guess i hear) like the overall sound is fuller than if i leave the volume any lower in tunes
this also prevents my speakers from ever distorting as the preamp is lowered no mater what if i turn it up, all of itunes power is not there
no blown speakers yet
