personally speaking, milwaukee had absolutely nothing to offer to me. if id did, i wouldn't have left.
all i see there is corny ass advertising firms with "wacky" sites showing how "crazy and unpredictable" they are. there's no job market aside form a few smaller groups that seem to have whatever freelance there is in that city on lock - the rest is just advertising. for a city that lives so much off of the printing industry (what with quad graphics calling the milwaukee metro area its home base) its amazing to me that there aren't more print design related jobs.
also, people there seem to have big fish/small pond syndrome at times. there's no need to try and compare the MKE job market or "design scene"(whatever that means) to NYC/LA. there's no comparison.
