It's all about the bigger picture. I for one thing GW could honestly give a rats ass right now about anything he does. He only has two years left on his Presidency, what could he possibly gain from wiretaps in only two years? The bigger picture is he was laying the groundwork and a solid foundation for the next guy in power, which I fear has already been scripted for the masses. We just play along like background actors in the scene.
Bush, Kerry, who cares. With either one of them we'd be in the exact same position right now.
The bigger picture is Bush really wasn't the brainchild of the wiretaps. I doubt he was sitting at home one night and the lightbulb went off above his head. This goes way beyond him which is why even if Kerry was in right now we'd all be m*ther f*cking Kerry's name too.
Is it really to fight terrorism or is it to gain political advantage and fodder for your own parties political gains both here and abroad?
