Save your money on the MAC first buy all the ram and screen realestate you can afford or feel comfortable with. Then see what you have left to get your mac. Monitors are a good investment nomatter what OS you use. When the time comes to get another mac or switch back to pc your monitors stay with you.

Im using a dual 450 mac and I still love it. Even if its so called slow I don't really care. I use Final cut pro, After effects, Illustrator, Photoshop Internet explorer and iTunes daily. I work faster i it. And yes I use PCees too.

By the way OSX rocks with its new iCal, iChat, Address Book, and Mail apps all working together in perfect harmony. Even with bluetooth phones :-)

BTW you can use those nifty cinema displays on both PCs and Macs.
