In 1998 when I went to my third high school prom, at the time I was hanging out alot with a group of girls that were seniors in high school - we'd been friends since I was in high school, and I was two years older and a sophomore in college.
In hanging out with them I was often around quite a few guys that were seniors, and at the party after the prom, I remember some of the guys quietly saying "Are you gonna give her the shocker?" and then showing me what it was.
It was like this secret thing, and the irony was that some of these guys had no more seen a girl naked or made out with one than I had climbed Mt. Everest.
So, like I said, it's always this thing that guys do. I've never understood it.
