The point is:
It doesn't matter what the religion is. No one should impose their beliefs on others.
You can draw cartoons of Jesus, Bush, my mom - I don't care. That's your right. Will I get pissed? Maybe, but I'll also know I can do the same thing, should I choose to.
That's what it should be about. For many of us I see "poor taste cartoons = possible violence" and that reaks absurdity. Admiteddly, I am naive of many things, but that's what I see.
That's what the world sees, too, and it just makes things bad.
It's kinda like a bully in grade school.
"Why do you keep picking on me?" says the target.
"Because you keep reacting" says the bully.
