  Thanks for the responses it seems much simpler to focus on one format that's available for both platforms especially since all the information is contained in a single file as well... I guess the future is opentype even if it the font doesnt use all the extra features available...

  I've developed a handful of typefaces and would like to bypass the various formats and possibly only make available the opentype format unless there are requests for the old formats
