Was fine till a car I was in in high school (I was the passenger) crossed the line, and hit another car head on, and we careened down a 45' embankment. The driver decided to pass 4 cars on a no passing zone, on a curve. I flew through the windshield (pop-out glass) and about 30 feet through a heavily wooded forrest.
End result was I had a shattered elbow and fractured my pelvis. Also ruptured spleen, blew out my diaphram, and punctured my left lung. About a month and a half in the hospital and 6 months of physical therapy. I was unconcious for 4 days, and have a 16" long scar down my chest, and half-dollar sized scar from a drainage tube in my chest. Driver went home with a lacerated scalp the nest morning. I still don't have full extension in my right arm, and it doesn't swing when I walk.
I was told if I had had my seatbelt on, which I didn't, I would have been killed because the passenger side of the roof collapsed to about chest height.
And to top it off, motherfuckers didn't deflate my cathider tube when the pulled it out. I'd say the bubble was about the size of a pinky finger-nail. I was concious for that one. Yeaow!!!
