from my grandfather:
"when i was a boy we attended a catholic school. one morning the nuns had entered the church to find it had been broken into. they had broken benches, knocked over things and pretty much destroyed the place. the nuns came to us and told us what had happened. they asked us to help clean up. when we walked in i noticed that they had taken the hosts and thrown them throughout the church." with the most honest , intense, and frightened look i've ever seen on him, he then said to me "douglas. some of the hosts were in the aisle and you could tell they had been stepped on. i swear to you, each host that had been stepped on had a single drop of blood on it."
