He actually lives on a main street, so it's not like I leave the house with the intention of finding Gorbie, but at the record store a few minutes ago I saw a guy that looked like him and snuck up from behind to talk shit and then discovered it was a different cat, so at that point the only reasonable thing was to alter my route to see if there was anything insightful to notice about his home or yard. Nothing more significant to report, Jim, but I'll let you know as more details become available. In the meantime, I'd be willing to bet that he reads all of this from time to time and is quite amused. I bet he also knows that his legend is such that if he returned he could never live up to the adulation that has grown since his departure. He's now a mythical character.
By the way, if anybody has Bowie's Panic in Detroit on mp3 could you hook me up? I'll love you long time.
