bluejam. a good point, but i disagree entirely.
a paperclip is a form. if you bend it, it is no longer proper for "paperclipping" its intended function.
if you bend it, you make a new design using its form. you cannot escape the fact that anything you do with it, other than the "idea" of its function, is designing based on its physical shape or ability to reform into a new shape.
