if you got $60-80k saved up, i think that'll be great.
the studio around where i live go for $400k and many requires 15% downpayment. but since you are with your wife, you def want to get 1bedroom apt. so that means you gonna spend 600-700k at least, well depends on where you want to live....
but good living in nyc comes wiht a high price tag.
