The fact that an unborn child depends on its mother for sustenance does necessarily not give her the right to kill it. Though it may grow inside her, it is in actuality a separate life, with different DNA, often even a different blood type, and completely unique characteristics that appear at the moment of conception.
BTW I am not a Republican, nor am I for attacking Iran or any other country that hasn't actually attacked us. This issue is much bigger than politics, it is about the sanctity of life. Today is Roe v. Wade day, 33 years, 1/3 of a generation dead and still counting. Here's an interesting bit of knowledge that hasn't been brought to light too much:
Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, has been quoted as saying that "The most merciful thing that a large family does to one of its infant members is to kill it." —from 'Women and the New Race'
She said this on the extermination of blacks:
"We do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population," she said, "if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." —from 'Woman's Body, Woman's Right: A Social History of Birth Control in America', by Linda GordonHer rhetoric sounds frightfully familiar to that of a certain deceased German dictator. Not exactly a shining advocate of human rights.
I'm sure this will set of more than a few tempers, but given the general consensus of my fellow designers, if I don't weigh in with this view then no one here will.
