just wondering, why did you deceide not to do business with them? was it your decision? seems to me, if you were really trying to make this your business, wouldnt have the publicity from them selling one of your designs helped your cause out? at least generate some sort of demand or feedback?
the fact that you were in business discussions, they kept your sample and then came out with a similar design should be enough to go to court. and you can easily find a lawyer who would take that on for a nice commission.
