in your website design section when you select the url to view it live it should be _blank not _self.
Techy look is fine with me and yes the randomiser for the background would better if it was not optional but occured every time you visit the site maybe with some more neutral colors. Otherwise excellent job and I would love to know how you did your work section as in source file. If you can email me...
