No one has mentioned the director of this film, Paul Greengrass. Two previous films he wrote about Northern Ireland, “Bloddy Sunday” and “Omagh” were very well done. I attended a screening of “Omagh” this year where he gave a talk after the show. He did not write or produce that film without majority concent of the families involved. It was a very touching film, well done, and all the families of the victims were very pleased with the end result – even those who initially opposed the film.
I like to think there is still an art to storytelling and film making. I’d prefer to see more work like the films Paul Greengrass has created in theatres before block-buster weekends of “Meet the Fockers” and the likes.
